Pinika LLC., based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was formed in 1997 to provide customized document and information management services to the legal industry. Today, the company serves the information management needs of law firms throughout the nation.

During the 1980s, Patrick Lemon experienced firsthand the need for electronic document management of legal case files. As an FBI Special Agent based in New York City, he dealt with criminal cases involving millions of documents. During the first quarter of 1997, Mr. Lemon formed the Litigation Resource Group, a company that offered litigation support services to legal professionals in Michigan. The Company encountered an ever expanding number of engagements that involved large volumes of case documents. As a result, Pinika was formed to create a computerized system for managing those documents.

Mr. Lemon's concept involved a turnkey solution to document management utilizing current cutting-edge technology. Specifically, he envisioned an approach wherein attorneys would be able to view and organize their case documents on-line from any where in the world, night or day. Hence, Pinika's InQuery for Litigation™ Document Management System was born. This system, specifically designed for legal professionals, includes document imaging, indexing and data capture, optical character recognition, and Web hosting.

Today, Pinika continues to upgrade and improve its InQuery for Litigation™ Document Management System. The Company is dedicated to utilizing the latest and most innovative technologies to reduce or eliminate the headaches associated with documents in civil and criminal litigation.
